Congratulations on choosing Atlantic Canada’s largest private career college – Eastern College! As an international student you will find the atmosphere at Eastern College welcoming and engaging. The best part is you certainly aren’t alone!  Approximately 10% of our Halifax Campus students have come to study with us from abroad.

International Acceptance

International Students are required to meet the following criteria:

• Students applying for a diploma program which lasts more than six months must have a current and valid Student Visa.  Visit http://www.cic.gc.ca to read about studying in Canada.
• You must meet all criteria necessary for regular program entrance.
• Confirmation of high school diploma.
• Documentation confirming date of birth.
• Picture Identification - your passport is acceptable.
• If English is not your first language, a transcript to show proof of your level of English studies is required. There are a number of recognized language tests that Eastern College will accept; please check with our Admissions team to see which test will work best for you.

If English training is required, a Letter of Acceptance will be issued, based on the successful completion of the English as a Second Language program.  In such cases, a seat will be reserved for you at a later starting date.

Admissions Process

Once you have completed an information request form you will be contacted by an experienced Admissions Representative who will take you through the process.

If you are currently living in or visiting Canada our Admissions team can set you up with a face-to-face meeting with one of our campus Admissions Officers. You will have the opportunity to tour a campus and ask any questions you might need to help you better understand how we operate!
