Travel and Tourism Instructor (Immediate, Part-time)
Eastern College Inc. is actively seeking an experienced travel and tourism professional for the role of Travel and Tourism Instructor for our Halifax Campus.
Primary Responsibilities: The primary responsibilities of this position are to provide quality delivery of assigned courses utilizing a variety of instruction strategies, techniques and delivery methods to meet the individual learning styles of the students, in a safe and civil learning environment. Instructors are responsible for teaching assigned courses in accordance with course competencies, taking daily attendance, and as required, grading class tests, assignments, and exams.
In addition to teaching, you will be responsible for working with the Academic Services team in the design and development of core curriculum for the travel program.
Qualifications: To be successful in this role you will be a Certified Travel Counsellor (CTC), with a minimum of 5-years related practical experience. Intermediate MS Office skills. Previous teaching experience would be considered an asset. Excellent English communication skills, organizational skills, and a professional attitude are required.
Hours of Work: This is a part-time position. Hours of work will either be 8am – 12pm (noon) and/or 1pm – 5pm, Monday to Friday.
Start Date: The scheduled start for this opportunity is immediate.
