In addition, they will adjust the accounts, including items such as loan payment interest. Other duties include recording receipts and payments, processing invoices, and completing tax returns.

In order to begin your career, you will require a certificate or diploma for accounting technicians.

Eastern College offers exactly that. During your time in this program, you will receive an education in the core principles surrounding bookkeeping and accounting. You will understand balance sheets and other financial statements that will become essential to your future job. In our accelerated program, you will learn the skills first before practising them with software such as Sage 50 and Sage 300.

Sage 50 and 300 are two products that serve small or medium-sized businesses. Currently, they operate in 24 countries and help six million small or medium-sized businesses succeed. These programs offer solutions for accounting, ERP, HR, payroll, payment, and asset management.
