Health Insurance
International students are covered by the Eastern College International Student Health Insurance plan provided by StudyInsured TM. You can learn more about your insurance coverage here: www.studyinsured.com/easterncollege. As this is a private insurance plan, there are some exclusions and limitations to the medical care that is available. Check the insurance policy wording for more details.
IMPORTANT: You must contact StudyInsured TM Assistance immediately if you have a serious illness or injury that requires: Hospitalization, Surgery (including dental surgery), Diagnostics such as an MRI or CT scan or, care outside of Canada.
If StudyInsured TM Assistance is not contacted immediately or within 48 hours of your serious illness or injury, your eligible claim may only be payable to 80%.
Tele-Care: For non-urgent health concerns, you can call the NB or NS Tele-Care services. Available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Medicare: Medicare coverage is available for international students studying full time in NB. Students will have to submit a completed NB or NS Medicare application form, proof of full-time enrolment in a post-secondary institution, a valid permit from Immigration, Refugee and Citizenship Canada and their
date of arrival in the province.
