Eastern College and Supply Chain Canada reach an agreement to provide an efficient path to SCMPTM Designation
July 8th, 2020
Eastern College, Halifax Campus and Supply Chain Canada, Nova Scotia Institute are proud to announce they have reached an agreement that will provide an efficient path for graduates of the college’s Purchasing Diploma and Supply Chain and Operations Management Advanced Diploma programs to pursue their Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMPTM) designation.
The SCMPTM designation is an internationally accredited certification of strategic supply chain leadership, and is Canada’s most widely held designation in supply chain management. To grant advanced standing, Supply Chain Canada assesses the curriculum for each program component.
“We’re excited that students in the Supply Chain program in our Halifax Campus will now have a path to pursue their SCMPTM designation,” said Stuart Bentley, President, Eastern College. “and we’re thrilled to have partnered with Supply Chain Canada to make this available to our graduates.”
To achieve this, Eastern College and Supply Chain Canada have reached an agreement to provide an efficient path for graduates of the program, who achieve a grade of 70% or higher completed within the last five years, to advanced standing towards the following SCMP academic program components:
- Module 2: Procurement and Supply Management
- Module 3: Logistics and Transportation
- Module 4: Operations and Process Management
