Eastern College Leaders Honoured with King Charles III Coronation Medal for Outstanding Contributions to Education and Community

HALIFAX – Eastern College, a member of the triOS Education Group, is proud to announce that six of its exceptional leaders have been awarded the King Charles III Coronation Medal, a prestigious Canadian honour commemorating the coronation of His Majesty King Charles III on May 6, 2023.
Co-founder and CEO Frank Gerencser, Co-Founder and Chair Stuart Bentley, President Craig Donaldson, and Executive Vice President Wendy Churchill, Campus Director Amy Boutilier, and Regulatory Officer Chris Davis-Gray have been selected as recipients of this national recognition for their enduring contributions to education, workforce development, and community enrichment in Canada.
The King Charles III Coronation Medal recognizes Canadians who have made meaningful contributions within their communities, provinces, or across the country. Nominees are put forward by various organizations and selected for their leadership, service, and dedication to building a stronger Canada.
“For over three decades, I’ve had the privilege of supporting and promoting the important role that career college graduates play in driving economic growth across New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Ontario,” said Co-founder and Chair Stuart Bentley. “I’m honoured to receive the King Charles III Coronation Medal in recognition of this work and of our sector’s ongoing commitment to education and workforce development.”
Under the leadership of Gerencser, Bentley, Donaldson, and Churchill and the efforts of Boutilier and Davis-Gray, Eastern has grown to become a leading provider of career-focused education in Atlantic Canada. Their work has helped bridge skills gaps, empower newcomers, support underserved populations, and foster innovation in post-secondary education.
