Learning While Working: Christina’s Pharmacy Technician Journey

December 29th, 2025

When Christina enrolled in the Pharmacy Technician Bridging program at Eastern College, she was already working full time in a pharmacy. She chose to complete her studies part time and online, creating a balance that allowed her to continue working while building new skills.

This flexibility made it possible for Christina to apply what she was learning right away. Each week, new concepts from the program connected directly to her day-to-day responsibilities in the pharmacy, reinforcing her knowledge through real-world experience.

Throughout her studies, Christina felt supported by her instructors and the College. She shared that she appreciated the strong communication and dedication from both faculty and Eastern College, noting how important that support was to her success.

She also gave special recognition to one instructor in particular, sharing a heartfelt shoutout to Robyn Oickle, calling her “the most amazing teacher I have ever had.”

Looking back on her experience, Christina encourages others to take the leap into education, no matter where they are starting from.

“Whether you’re starting after high school or returning to school years later, if you commit and give it your all, it is absolutely worth it. The team at Eastern College truly wants you to succeed.”

Christina’s journey highlights what is possible when education is designed to fit real life and real careers. We are proud to celebrate her success and everything she has achieved through the Pharmacy Technician Bridging program.
